17th week

AITOR DE LA FUENTE , DANIEL PUENTE, GAIZKA SEGOVIA

This week has been one of the hardest this quarter, because we have had two exams for some people. some people had to do one exam and other people another exam of recuperation. Apart from that with Julen we have keen learning how to make surfaces in catia , and the next week we have and exam about that. 

With Richard we have made an english oral exam in pairs, the exam was about a normal situation in our lives between two people, the aim of the exam was to have a normal and natural conversation between us. 

With Nagore and Gaizka we have kept doing the proyect, making new pieces. When we finish with the pieces we also have to make the assembly. Also when we finish with that we shlould start with the sketch of the piece that we will get from the mould we hara desingning. 

On friday we before the exam we have an small presentation from the people of 2CMM, which theme was about the proyect they have already finished. Before that we did the exam with Gaizka and the we had Empresa with Iranzu.

15th Week

This week we start assembling the last pieces of the die. Dani, Gaizka and me we were drawing the alst pieces of the die, we have to make a cutting piece with the for that we want. For that we try to draw in the place that it have to be in the die, because if we insert the componet it can bve in other place, so we have to place it with constrains. 

On Thuesday Dani has some problems with CATIA because of a mistake he didnt save all the work that he have done. We try to do the same work taht we make on monday and wwe could help him.

In thursday we start making all the information that we have to give of our die of fundition, we have to choose the material, how we are going to introduce in the steel, the time it have to take to get cold the piece, the tipe of the sand, the tipe of fundition. Because depending on the fundition that we want to use it can take some properties or others.

We choose the day to the examan of cutting, that its going to be the 14th of february.

We have check the procces of the pieces that arre doing the students of 2cmm, some pieces are finished but other because of the material are not finished, the base is going to be the next piece to machine and matriz is going to be the last one. With the base we are going to be with them to see the procces of machinin and to help them with all that we can do.

16th week

(we are having problems to introduce images, it give us error and does not let us save, that is why in this text we have not introduced images)

We have started the week with the introduction of the last challenge that we will do this year.

The new challenge is that in class we have an injection mold, and we have to design a piece that serves to put under the die that we are going to manufacture, so when the die is in the storage it is not

in direct conact with the shelving.
What we have to do is draw in CATIA the pieces that form the mold in 3D as they are, unless the piece that shapes the product we want to get. Then we will have to make the drawings of the pieces, because the real objective of this challenge is make the drawings.

The second day of the week was the day that we delivered the notebook with all the information of the previous challenge that we made, because that day was de deadline for delivery.
Also that day some people of the class delivered the the recovery project that Gaizka sent us to recover a section of the first challenge, and we have also made the delivery of the base assembly to the die and the way to tie the press.

For this new, and last challenge, Iranzu gave us some work for the company section.
Thework that we have to do is make a DAFO, and make a questionnaire to an other group of class.

On Friday, the las two hours of class of the week, we have made an exam with Nagore.
The exam was about foundry.

14nd week

This week we have learned how we have to do the planes of our proyect with Julen. We also have and interview with and expert in die bases, who has adviced us how to do it. Also he used a programe to analize the base, like this we know which are the defects we have to correct.









We have had two speeches, one about thing we can study in the future, for example go to the university or do another high degree. The other speech was about the most claimed job nowadays we can work with our high degree.

To have an enjoyable class we have been doing some kahoots in groups about melting.



In Company we have delivered templates on different methods of payment, like, a promissory note, the check or bill of exchange and also the receipt.

But the most important thing we have done is to continue with our proyect, doing changes in it with the recomendations of the expert. And the people who have to make up one course, we have kept with our own proyect, which consist in finishing another die.

On friday we assembled the die with the finished base. Also we have strated to do some virtual checks to know the resistances and see where we hace to put some support.

13 nd week

DANIEL PUENTE, AITOR DE LA FUENTE AND GAIZKA SEGOVIA

We started the week having some theorical speakings, because we have started the new challenge few days ago. The first speaking was about the parameters of the challenge, to make sure we all knew what we have to do.

After that we had a second speaking about technical information about foundry.

Nagore told us about the different method of foundry that are used and some features about them, and after that we made some execises about foundry, to make sure that we understood the theory and to start reminding some things. 

At English classes some people made a presentation about what they do on their DUAL, and the people that do not have DUAL made presentation about some topics that Ricardo told us.

The second day we started drawing in catia the base of the die with the information that Nagore  gave us.

Each person of the group did his sketch of the base and explain it to the rest of the group.

After that we choose the better option for the challenge and we made some changes to improve the design.

We also have an speaking from a person that came from a company, he speaked us of what is his job on his company.

On thursday we went to a foundry of Elorrio, Betsaide S.A.L and we made guided tour through all the different phases and they explained what they were doing in each one.

12th week

The last week we started with the presentation of our new challenge, in this challenge we have to design a base of fundition for our die.

For this we have some PDF to read where we have the information. There is the iformation of how is going to be the minimum distance of our bases walls, the treatments that we can use on it, treatment for the hardness our it, because we are going to hit it with 80 tones, the hight of the pores when we paint it, the percentage of carbono that we have to use, minumum 1,76% and maximum 6.67%. The angle of the ramps, minimun angle sould be 30º, because the scrap that we dont need can evacuate better.

For our base we are doing an individual sketch where we  draw in 3D how we think that can be the better way of the bases design. There we try to draw with the minimum material possible and taking into account our die. Because if we make the evacuation ramps in the grong place we can have problems when the die is working.

With Julen we have learn how can we make a oiece in CATIA with angles, where we can make a solid with angle but we dont need to use the operations of cutting for it.

The next week Jon Asenjo is going to come for solve our questions of the base and to explain us how does this bases work in fundutions. Next week we are going to evaluate the sketches or the group and we are going to choose one for our die

11th week

This week we have finished to draw in 3D and we started doing the planes of our roject.

First of all we speak to make all the planes with the same format.
In maristak we have to go to 1st of DFM because the planes we did them in CATIA and here in class the program doesn´t work like we want here.



At the end we make a PDF with all the things we have decided, the reasons of why we choose this type of torret and we finished with a presentation.

DANIEL AND GAIZKA

This week was time to finish the proyect we are doing, we have fiished doing the 3D design and now we are doing the planes of these pieces. 

To carry on with the proyect we made two video conferences one on tuesday and the other one on thursday, but we had some problems with the other group, because we had different opinions about what we have to do. Finally we agreed with some ideas and we distribute the work in equal parts. To finish with the proyect we had to do a report about what we have been doing every week, which consist in putting all the information about the proyect.

But the most important part of all was the presentation, in which we have to explain a power point between the other team and our team. To resolve the problem of being in different schools we made a video conference for two classrooms, so everyone could watch the presentation.

10th week (DANIEL AND GAIZKA) AITOR

This week we have kept doing the proyect with Salesianos from Deusto.  We also have started a checking with the students from CMM which are doing our die.

On monday every of us did his sketch, when we finished we had to select the best one using a table. We give values in different looks to erey sketch and then, we select the one with the highest mark.

This is the main thing we had to deliver on the 11th of december. 

When we finished that, we satrted with the design in 3D, we didn´t have so much time so people from Salesianos did one part and we did other part. Then we were going to put the two designs together.

               

But at the moment of  assembling everything We found one problem, that the two pieces didn´t have the same measure. So one or two our before the limit to give the assemble, we had to change all the measures from one of the pieces. Luckily we could get the assemble finished and we could deliver the proyect on time.

This week we have decided some parametres for the turret. We have decided to modify the form of our torret and make the tool holder bigger. 

Here in maristak we are doing the torret and when we finish we have to save it in STP because we are working with CATIA and the work with solid works. The problem is that a file of CATIA cant open in solidworks, because of that we sve in STP.






Mean whilr we are doing the torret they are doing the tool holder, when we finish the torret we give it to them and they modfify their holder to our torret.

9th week (GAIZKA AND DANI) AITOR

GAIZKA SEGOVIA AND DANIEL PUENTE

We have started this week changing the groups, because we are going to do a new challenge.

For this challenge we have divide all the class in couples, and we have made team with another couple of a different center, SALISIANOS DEUSTO. All the groups are composed by for 4 people, but in our case, we have been luky and our group is composed by 5 people, from Maristas = Gaizka Segovia, Eñaut Vidal and Daniel Puente and from Salisianos = Edu Fernandez and Jon Torrecilla.

The challenge consist in we have to design two pieces of one machine of Maristas ( two pieces of a lathe ).  Fidel, a teacher of Maristas, told us a problem that he used to have with this two pieces, so we have to design them in such a way that we solve the problem.

First of all we started drawing some sketches:

As we are from different centers and we have to complete the proyect together, so we have to be in constan comunication. We talk a lot with them by WhatsApp and twice a week we have to made a video call with Edu and Jon discuss the next thing that we have to do.
After the video call we have to make a certificate where we put all the things that we have talked abuot.

This week we have make other grops un couples. For this 3 weeks im working with Luis to make the new project.

We have to make a torret for the lathe because here we have some problems. One of this is that some tools cant enter in the tools holder and they have to machine, other one is that some tools are so smalls and they cant centre it to the machine and the last problem is that the student didnt know what a chock is.

We have to solve this problem with other 2 students of salesianos. 

8th week

This week we have started disgning the die, there we have see the list of the materials and choosing the parts that we have to finish.

With Gaizka we have done a litle revision of our die, the parts, the materials, the surfaces that we have to change. This we did for knowing if we have done the work for this day.

At saturday we have done a little exam of dies, and before that we continue ensasambling in our die.

we change the colours of the die, because some colours. Blue for holes, brown for surfaces that we have not no machine, pink for the pieces that we have to do, yellow for the pieces that we have to buy.

We have done some groups for the second challenge. The gropus ar of 2 persons and we have to work with people of other centre. Now we are in groups of 4, Xabier and Aitor and doing the die, the parts that we have to make and assemble in, Dani is doing a memory of our work in the first challenge and Gaizka is calculating the price of all our die. There we calculate the rent of the place where we want to make our company, the cost of our preduction...

For this friday, we have done a list with the difficulties that we have with our project. we have make new pieces that we have to assemble inthe die and we have change some forms of the matrize, because we need a for to take of the piece of our die.

7th week

AITOR DE LA FUENTE, DANIEL PUENTE, GAIZKA SEGOVIA

This week we have made two exams, on monday a samll test with Gaizka about materials, and the other one with Julen where you had to do a piece in catia. This exam had an requirement, that you have to give one exercise selected boy Julen, if you don´t do this exercise you culdn´t do the exam. We also had an english exam, where we had to do two writtings. One was to write a letter and the other one you could choose between writting things you have made in class this week or the methodology we use in groups.

Most of the week we have kept with the die, because the next week we need to have the 95% done. So we have spent the whole week doing the die with Gaizka, even thought somo of the ours were with Julen. We have made some changes in it, the weren´t too dificult but it took us to much time to make all the changes. Nowadays we haven´t finished doing all the changes.

With nagore we have kept doing de die, and some groups the have measured their plaque.

Iranzu has showed us some videos about how we have to do a presentation, because we will have to do a presentation about the company we have created, this videos were related with how we have to to a correct presentation and which is the position we need to have when we are talking. the persentation will be in front of a lot of people, also a samll part of the presentatios has to be in english

6th week

DANIEL PUENTE, AITOR DE LA FUENTE, GAIZKA SEGOVIA

We have started these week doing some Catia exercises to practice for the exam that we have the next week, we have used the new tecnics in Catia to do some rare and difficult pieces for our die. With these new tecnics we have avanced a lot, because we have done easily some pieces that we thought taht will take us a lot of time.

With Iranzu these week we have made a power point that explains everything about the commpany that we have created. In thepower point we explain what our company is, name, logo, slogan and the why of everything. We also explain what kind of company we are and the services we offer, and much more about the structure of the company.

With Nagore we have start doing some new exercises, with them we are going to be able to know the dimensions of the pieces that we make.

We are in a proyect with one group of Medium Grade, they have to make a "sufridera", so, some times we meet them because we have to do an AMFE, so we ask them quiestions about what they think that could go wrong on the marufacturing of the sufridera. 

Our principal lavour of this week is finish making all the pieces in CATIA that we need to complete the assembly. We have worked very hard to achive it and now the only thing that we have to do is continue following the steps that Gaizka told us to complete our assembly before the deadline.

5th week

DANIEL PUENTE, AITOR DE LA FUENTE, GAIZKA SEGOVIA

We started these week talking about how it was the trip, because the last day of last week we went to Vitoria, to Mercedes-Benz factory.  We talked about the different things that we saw, the method of how they worked and the type of work that we could achive inside the factory with what we are studying these year. We talked about the importance of thinking about innovative things, proposals to improve certain things to be competitive with other companies.

In the next class we talked with Julen to fix a date for a Catia exam. After beeing disscusing for a long time we fixed the exam the 18nd of November. Julen teached us a new form of doing some pieces with different operations that will be asked in the exam.

With Gaizka we had a litlle talk about our objetives and he told us that the 95% of the ensambling must be done for the day 22 of November, and he explain us what we have to do every day to meet de deadline. Once we had determined what to do we met the members of our group and divide the job that we had to do every day.

We spent the rest of the week making standardized elements in Catia except the hours with Iranzu and the day that we met with the group of Medium Grade.

9th of November was our deadline to send Iranzu the BRAINSTORMING and the MARKET STUDY of Mold Makers (our company), so we had to complete a power point with a lot of information. We had some problems because our group started later than some other groups because of a mistake of Iranzu and us. We started 3 weeks later than the other groups so we didn`t have a brainstorming, because we were late, so all the ideas we had were good and we continued with them, we din´t think about different possibilities.
